Bungalow Quilting

Bungalow Quilting - The Uptown in Any Town

Row by Row Experience

April 12, 2015 by Judy

IMG_1771 (640x480)What is the Row By Row Experience? Well, it started back a few years ago. Here’s how it works.
It takes place over the summer, and is an incentive for traveling quilters to stop in to quilt shops along their route.
Participating quilt shops all over the country advertise that they are participating, on the Row by Row Experience website. They must provide a free pattern for each customer that comes into the shop that asks for it. This pattern is for a row. The row measures 36 1/2 inches by no taller than 9 1/2 inches. Since each shop has a row that is the same length, the quilter collecting these row patterns can be assured that they will all fit together in a row by row quilt.
The theme for row by row changes each year. Last year, Row by Row theme was “Seasons”. This year, it’s “Water”. Bungalow participated last year, and we are participating again this year.
Some of the shops kit up their row, so that the customer can buy the kit, facilitating the ease of finishing a quilt.
There are ways to win prizes as well. I will leave that up to the www.RowbyRowexperience.com website to explain how to win the prizes. Pictured above is Bungalow’s Row for the Row by Row Experience. We will have it kitted up for the event that lasts all summer. You can get the free pattern or you can purchase the kit. Row by Row Experience begins June 21st, the first day of summer! Our license plate is pictured as well.
