Bungalow Quilting & Yarn

Bungalow Quilting & Yarn - The Uptown in Any Town

Another Lamp this one from a Jelly Roll

February 5, 2016 by Judy

I think I may have talked a little about the lamps that I have been making. I decided to get rings made so that you could make lamps using your favorite fabrics. There are so many uses for fabric. People seem to forget that there is a whole world of things that you can make besides quilts. Yes, quilting may be our favorite, but in the same realm is home dec. Sometimes you love a fabric so much but you don’t know what to do with it. Think home dec. There are many wonderful projects out there for showcasing beautiful fabrics.

Throw pillows are expensive when purchased. Think about putting colorful throw pillows around the house. It makes a big difference.

These lamps really serve a wonderful purpose. They let the light shine through your favorite fabrics, and you don’t need an electrician to put them up. They are plugged right in to the outlet. All you need are a couple of hooks in the ceiling–one to hang it from and one to swag it from. The instructions are included in the framework, and so is the cord. I am selling these at Quilt Con this month, and at several of the shows that I will be traveling to. Everyone has a corner of their house where they like to sit and read. Or, everyone has a corner of their house where they like to sit and sew! Think about adding one in a baby room, right over the rocking chair where you read to your precious little ones.

Here are some examples, with the most recent ones that I have done.
