Bungalow Quilting

Bungalow Quilting - The Uptown in Any Town

Nina Clotfelter Coming to Ripon!

June 4, 2022 by Judy

Join us September 7th and 8th

Have you ever wanted to know more about thread? I know that I do. I am NOT a thread aficionado. I just use thread and when I have breakage, I just quit. I have never been able to make metallic thread work, and yet I love metallic thread. I would love to know what the best threads are for which job I am doing. Wouldn’t you?

What’s she teaching? On September 7th she will be doing a Lecture/Demo called “Threads: What’s the Big Deal?” This lecture/demo is 3 hours long. It is PACKED with information about how to use different threads in your machine. Even metallic–yes, even metallic. She teaches couching and bobbin work. This will be really awesome. She has tons of experience AND is so happy to impart all of this to make your quilting even more spectacular.

On September 8th she will do a 6 hour class teaching Ruler Work on your Domestic Machine..In this Beginner class you learn how to hold and work with RULERS on your domestic machine.    We start at the beginning with how to prepare the RULER and why this is important.  We work with a special RULER designed just for this class with 4 different shapes on it.  By the end of class each student has successfully managed the RULER as well as learned to think with a RULER and created a block using the RULER.  RULER Work is a GREAT way to enhance your Free Motion Quilting!  This opens up a whole new world to you as a quilter!!!

You MUST have a Ruler Foot for your domestic machine if you are taking the Ruler Work 6 hour class. There is a kit that you can purchase but if you have your own rulers that are for quilting (not cutting) you can use those. If you are going to purchase a ruler foot, do this as soon as possible so that you have it for class.
