Bungalow Quilting & Yarn - The Uptown in Any Town

Lamp Shades Made by a Customer with a Great Eye!

October 22, 2016 by Judy

I love Elaine Gustafson. She has been a customer since we opened our doors. She is always doing a fun home dec project. She came in and made beautiful table napkins for a friend, she has made throw pillows and now she made these two lamps. She had a great idea. She had some fabric left over from some curtains that she had made. It is a lace type fabric. When the light shines through the lamp, it leaves a pattern on the wall! I just love it.

Then, she made a second one. The second one is a fabric that has a lot of texture to it. She did a great job. These lamps can be personalized to fit in any room decor. One of the many things that I love about them is that they are so movable. You don’t have to be stuck with it in a certain spot, it can be moved simply by moving the hook, or adding a hook.

This is the second one that she made. Isn’t it great? It’s hard to see the little bumps on the fabric. From the photo they just look like dots, but they are actually textured dots.

She just has the most brilliant ideas of lampshades that she wants to make. Our lampshade kits are available from this website, and will soon be available from Nancy’s Notions! We’re very excited to be partnering with them in selling this great product!
