Bungalow Quilting

Bungalow Quilting - The Uptown in Any Town

My Newest Book

February 12, 2017 by Judy

My newest book with C&T Publishing will be released at the end of this month. I am very excited. When you are doing a book you are doing all of your sewing in secret. You can’t put it all out there on Facebook or Instagram, and so it looks like you’re not sewing anything new. Really, behind the scenes you are sewing like crazy, like a little sweat shop worker. So, you’re not getting any “likes” on Facebook or on Instagram. It can be a lonely process.

So, I am so very happy to announce and show off a couple of the newest quilts from my book “Rainbow Quilts for Scrap Lovers”. Each and every quilt in this book is made using scraps. They are all made using my template system. They are all made from squares. It doesn’t appear so, but it’s true. They are so easy and mindblowing, you just have to buy the book.

Here’s the first one that I put on Instagram. I also posted it to Facebook. It made the inside cover of the C&T Publishing catalog, and it’s already being reviewed by American Patchwork and Quilting.

This one is done completely with squares. It is called Blended Hexagons, and is done with leftover scraps that I have from all my pink and orange projects. It was such great fun to do. You can see so many secondary patterns in this one besides the hexagons.

I love using my scrap templates. It makes it so much easier to cut up those odd shaped leftovers.

Next is one that is done in a similar manner, but the layout and fabric choices are different. It’s called “The Circus Comes to Town”. I really love this one.

Here it is.

I promise you this: this was made using squares. Pretty amazing right? Well, to see more you have to buy the book! Just a little teaser of sorts. Go out and buy “Rainbow Quilts for Scrap Lovers”. You’ll be thrilled you did when you use up all your scraps.
