Bungalow Quilting

Bungalow Quilting - The Uptown in Any Town

Umbrella Class March 22nd 2025

January 12, 2025 by Judy

I know you’ve always wanted to make one. Well the time is now. We are not going to be restocking the umbrellas anymore, so now is the time to make one. Let’s get together on March 22nd which is a Saturday (location to be determined) and make an umbrella.

If you follow us at all you know that we have been making these for years and years. They’re incredibly beautiful and durable. But, I have to order them in huge quantities so I am not going to stock them anymore. We have 15 left! So we have 15 slots to fill for class.

The what, when, how, why and what not:

Class is on March 22nd 2025, 9:00-3:30 location to be determined but it will be in Ripon Wisconsin.

Cost: $100 includes umbrella frame and pattern

Supplies:

  1. 3 yards of fabric of a one way print, 2 1/2 yards if it’s a tossed or allover non-directional print.
  2. Thread to match, or a neutral thread that is a light to medium gray.
  3. Paper scissors (otherwise known as the junk scissors)
  4. Scotch tape
  5. Regular fabric scissors
  6. Straight Pins
  7. 8 safety pins that are 1 inch long. Please don’t bring pins that are longer or shorter than this.
  8. Sewing machine in top notch working order–recently cleaned and oiled.
  9. Hand sewing needle
  10. Basic supplies such as seam ripper, and other things you use a lot while sewing.

Must be an intermediate sewist. No children. Bring a lunch. You will have 1/2 hour for lunch.

Hope to see you there! This is the last umbrella class that I will be teaching so don’t miss out!

To sign up, email me [email protected] or respond through this website. No refunds will be given. As you know, I have to plan for this class and pay for the space so the money is non-refundable for any reason.
