Spin Class-Make Your Quilts Your Own

Instructor: Amanda Jean Nyberg of Sunday Morning Quilts (C&T Publishing) and No Scrap Left Behind (C&T Publishing)

Cost: $125

Exercise your creativity as you explore the variety of options that a single pattern can hold. The goal of this class is to teach students how to look at a pattern/or quilt as an inspiration, but it encourages the student to put their own spin on it….to make it their own. During class, the students will see several examples of how changing one element in a quilt can make a drastic difference. Topics will include color selection, proportion, scale, and working with prints versus solids. Students will start a project of their choice during class based on the book No Scrap Left Behind. (Stash Books, 2017)

Students will receive the class supply list after signing up and payment accepted.

Modern Machine Quilting on your Own Sewing Machine

Instructor: Cathleen Roeder of Catz Quilts

Cost: $75

In this class you will make a table runner based on the quilt “Row Houses” by Judy Gauthier from Quilts for Scrap Lovers (C&T Publishing). The emphasis will be on learning to machine quilt small items such as table runners or wall hangings. Modern quilting motifs and designs will be the focus of the quilting.

Students will receive the class supply list after signing up and payment accepted.

Improv Pyramid Wall Hanging

Instructor: Jen Block

Cost: $75

In this class you will learn to use orphan blocks, leftover strips pieces and parts to create a beautiful improv wallhanging. You will use leftovers that are too meaningful to throw away. You will explore and experiment with different shapes and layouts to create a one of a kind piece.

Students will receive the class supply list after signing up and payment accepted.
