It’s true. The quilt “Blended Hexagons” from Rainbow Quilts for Scrap Lovers (C & T Publishing) has set in seams. Do you see where the top hexagon sits just on top of the two lower ones? Well, that is a gentle set in seam. In my video I give clear instructions on how to do set in seams with some fabulous tips on how to make them turn out absolutely perfectly!
For those of you that don’t understand this reference that is the title of this post, I need to tell you that it’s a reference to a cartoon. There was a cartoon called Yogi Bear. It was created by Hanna-Barbara in the 60’s. I can barely remember it…yeah, right. Yogi was always trying to teach Boo Boo about the fine art of stealing a picnic basket. Well, fortunately we don’t

But, the one in Madison has the advantage of being close to my Bernina dealership, and
We had a wonderful time at our scarf clinic. We had 2 afternoons dedicated to making “Minky” scarves. I don’t like to use the term minky because it lumps in all of the other plush fabrics. We carry Shannon Cuddle in our shop. It is the highest quality minky type fabric. It sews up so much easier than all other brands. The plush doesn’t shed save for the cut edge.
These are my new kitchen window shades. They are made using my shade kits. The shade kits are so much fun. You can personalize them. How many, many times as a shop owner have I heard customers say “I love this fabric but I don’t know what to do with it”? Well, far too many. So a couple of months back I got this wild hair to make butterfly chairs. Why, you ask? Why does a man climb a mountain or a quilter make a quilt? Because they can! I love to use fabric for so many more things than just making quilts. I love fabric so I want to be doing something with it all the time, every day! I especially love the Shannon
